More cloudy and unstable weather in Burbank today. There’s a 40 percent chance of “showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 11 a.m,” according to the National Weather Service. The humidity remains high. This morning, before 9 a.m., I was out walking and it felt like I was in a sauna. High today in the low 80s in the Media City.

The new SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Burbank has been sold for $60 million. R.D. Olson Development broke ground on the 102,075-square-foot hotel with a budget of $44 million at 549 South San Fernando Boulevard in January of 2014. It officially opened last Monday.
