A Burbank assault suspect is due in court tomorrow in connection with an alleged kidnapping and officer involved shooting. Bargain hunters were out bright and early in Burbank’s trendy Magnolia Park today. Around two hundred eager shoppers were lined up at Unique Vintage at 2013 West Magnolia Boulevard for its semi-annual “Pin up picnic sale,” where some items were up to 90 percent off! New rules for Burbank’s “Ladies & Gents Night Out”

The popular “Ladies & Gents Night Out” event in Burbank’s Magnolia Park is returning this month, but with some major changes. The biggest winner is the holder of a ticket sold at the 7-Eleven, 4092 Chino Hills Parkway, in Chino Hills, which hit the jackpot with all of the correct numbers in yesterday’s draw. Burbank pounded by winter storm Tuesday, more rain coming

Burbank and the rest of the Southland got pounded by a major storm yesterday and a second is expected to hammer us hard today. Meanwhile, more storms are lining up to roll through our area. Natalie Cole: 1950 – 2015

The entertainment industry and music fans are remembering Natalie Cole. The multi-Grammy winner passed away New Year’s Eve at a Los Angeles hospital reportedly of congestive heart failure.  The daughter of legendary jazz entertainer, Nate King Cole, had an unforgettable voice of her own. Also, she inspired many with her grace and style even while dealing with personal struggles, including drug addiction, and family tragedies. Here’s more from USA Today.

Burbank Police patch

Burbank Police investigating gang-related shooting

Burbank Police are investigating what they’re calling a gang-related shooting, which sent an 18 year-old male to the hospital. The victim was hit by gunfire on New Year’s Eve. It happened in the 200 block of West Verdugo Avenue at around 2:30 p.m. In a news release, Burbank PD spokesman, Sergeant Claudio Losacco said “Preliminary information is that a black sedan, occupied by two Hispanic males drove by, yelling gang related obscenities and shot at the victim and his friend.” The unidentified victim was rushed to the hospital...
