Huge house fire in Burbank under investigation

A huge house fire on East Angeleno Avenue in Burbank is under investigation today. Yesterday morning, a fierce battle was waged to try to save the two-story structure.  Fire crews from the surrounding area were involved in the fight. The first to arrive on the scene at around 9:40 a.m. were from Burbank and Glendale. The firefighters discovered a worker “trapped by the heat and smoke” on the roof: “Personnel quickly rescued the worker and began assessing the roof for vertical ventilation,” according to a news release sent out by... A rash of break-ins at eateries in Downtown Burbank

There has been a rash of break-ins at eateries in Downtown Burbank over the past two weeks. Boba Loca, 148 North San Fernando Boulevard, was burglarized on Friday, February 12. Burbank Police spokesman Sergeant, Claudio Losacco, says “…  when the first employee arrived, the front door to the business was found to have been pried open.  The cash register and safe had been forced open and cash taken.” Boba Loca is a snack shop featuring, teas, coffee, juices, drinks, sandwiches, salads, and pastries. Burbank Police patch

Two suspects arrested in Burbank gang-related shooting

Two suspects arrested last Friday are set to appear in court this week in connection with a Burbank gang-related shooting. The suspects are identified as Erik Manooki,  a 19 year-old alleged gang member from Sunland, and 22 year-old Candice Richardson of Burbank.”It is believed Manooki is the shooter in this case and Richardson instigated the crime as retribution related to a prior gang related incident,” according to Burbank Police Sergeant Claudio Losacco. A rather subdued “Ladies & Gents Night Out” returned to Magnolia Park in Burbank last Friday night after taking a break around the holidays.
