Burbank PD arrest two suspects in ATM crime spree

Burbank Police announced the arrest today of two suspects who have been charged in an ATM skimming scheme. The suspects were taken into custody in connection with ATM thief at the U.S. Bank, 1750 West Olive Avenue, in Burbank. They are accused of using a small skimmer device to capture and store victims’ information. Women’s Equality Day 2016

Women’s Equality Day 2016. How far have we come? Not far enough, when women have to continue to fight for equal pay and equal rights. In 1971, the U.S. Congress designated August 26 as “Women’s Equality Day” to commemorate the 19th amendment to the constitution granting women the right to vote. Women have come a long way since this amendment was ratified in 1920, but still the battle for true equality goes on.

National Night Out returns to Chandler Bikeway in Burbank

National Night Out returns to the popular Chandler Walk/Bike Path in Burbank tonight. The annual nationwide celebration promotes neighborhood camaraderie and strives to strengthen the ties between law enforcement and the community. In the past, National Night Out has drawn crowds to the Chandler Bike Path. However in 2014, the event was moved to the parking lot of the Burbank Police headquarters.
