The Mega Millions lottery jackpot has leaped the $200 million mark. For weeks, players have not been able to match all six numbers in recent draws. Last Friday the winning digits were: 8, 3, 5, 29, 18, and the Mega number 14. No winner, so the jackpot skyrocketed to 206 million bucks!

Five tickets bought in the Golden State did come very close to winning it all. They had all but the Mega ball. Each is worth $155, 663. That will pay off a lot of holiday shopping and entertainment bills.

A Southland grandmother probably will never have to worried about being short of money for the rest of her life. Seventy-three-year-old Audelia Ramirez of Alhambra hit the jackpot in the Superlotto Plus game on Wednesday, August 30. Another player in San Diego got all of the winning numbers right as well, so they split the $18 million jackpot.

Ramirez bought her $9 million winning ticket at the Superior Super Warehouse at 9100 Whittier Boulevard in Pico Rivera. The winning numbers: 22, 27, 32, 31, 2, and the Mega number 11.  When asked by lottery officials what she plans to do with the winnings, the retiree said she would love to buy a house and move out of her small apartment. Ramirez has six children and eight grandchildren.

Meanwhile, the Mega Millions jackpot is a lot richer today after no one picked all of the winning numbers in last Friday’s draw.  The winning numbers: 7, 12, 19, 23 31, and the Mega Ball 45. In California, five lucky players got all but the Mega Ball right. Each of those tickets is worth  $39, 316.

The Mega Millions jackpot stands at $54 million. The next draw is Tuesday, September 13 at 8 p.m.

The Mega Millions jackpot may spark a new round of lottery fever. The jackpot took a tumble to $74 million, after no one won the big one in last Tuesday’s draw. The winning digits: 20, 25, 35, 52, 55, and the Mega Ball 10. 

 A ticket with all of those hot numbers, except the Mega Ball was sold here in the Southland at get this — Lucky Liquors at 2121 Lincoln Boulevard in Santa Monica. That ticket is worth $207, 820.

More money got pumped into the Mega Millions jackpot, after no ticket had all of the winning numbers in last Friday’s draw. Today the money pot for that lottery game stands at $63 million.
