Someone who bought a ticket in New York is the latest Mega Millions lottery jackpot winner. The winning ticket was a quick pick. It had all of the lucky numbers in the election night draw: 9, 15, 24, 39, 41, and the Mega Ball 1. The jackpot was a hefty $321 million, but lottery fever pushed it up to $326 million. It’s one of the largest jackpots ever in that game.
The game was not a total bust for California. A ticket bought in the Golden State matched all of the lucky digits except the Mega. It’s worth $597,933 — not enough to make you a millionaire — but a nice addition to the bank account just the same. That ticket was purchased up north in Stockton.
The next Mega Millions draw is this tomorrow with a jackpot of $15 million.
