Today Burbank School Board candidate, Dr.  Armond Aghakhanian, announced the endorsement of Burbank City Council vice-mayor, Bob Frutos. On his Facebook page,  Aghakhanian made the announcement and wrote, “I am truly honored and humbled for the level of support our campaign is receiving from our community. This includes Burbank community leaders and organizations.”

Three other council members, Emily Gabel-Luddy, Jess Talamantes, and Gary Bric already have endorsed Aghakhanian. In the general election set for next month on April 14, Aghakhanian is up against Greg Sousa for the one remaining open seat on the board. Both candidates won enough votes in the primary to move into a runoff.

Two other seats on the board were won outright by incumbent Roberta Reynolds and candidate Steve Ferguson. Both Reynolds and Ferguson got the required majority vote in the February 24 primary.

Burbank city council candidate, Chris Rizzotti, announced earlier this week, he has received the endorsement of council member Gary Bric. “If elected, I look forward to continue the work of service that Council Member Bric has established to serve our residents,” Rizzotti said in a news release.

Council members Emily Gabel-Luddy and Jess Talamantes endorsed Rizzotti a while ago. Rizzotti is in a runoff with Gabel-Luddy, Will Rogers, and Juan Guillen for two open seats on the city council. Voters will get to decide who gets elected in the general election next month.
