The Burbank City Clerk’s Office has released the final numbers for the momentous Burbank General Municipal Election last Tuesday. The numbers changed only slightly from the Election Night results, after a small number of provisional ballots were sent to the Los Angeles County Registrar/Recorder’s Office for verification.

City Council (2 seats)

  • David Gordon 5,430 votes
  • Jess  Talamantes 5,290 votes
  • Dave Golonski  4,571 votes
  • David Nos 4,367 votes
Burbank School Board (2 seats)
  • Larry Applebaum  5,882 votes
  • Charlene “Char” Tabet  4,967 votes
  • Steve Ferguson   4,616 votes
  • David Dobson   2,814 votes

Measure S – Special Tax for Sewer/Refuse Customer Assistance Programs

  • Yes  3,806
  • No    4,930 votes

Overall a lot more interest in this election than the General Election in 2011 when 8,866 ballots were received. This time around 11, 161 ballots were cast — an increase of more than 18% over 2011.

There are now 60, 623 registered voters in the Media City. Hopefully, even more B-town voters will participate in the next city election. You can make a difference by exercising your right to vote.
