President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle enjoyed a private visit with Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, Prince Philip, today at Buckingham Palace. In a gift exchange, the Obamas gave the royals a special video iPod and a rare songbook by American composer Richard Rodgers. The British couple gifted the Obamas with a signed portrait of themselves.

President Obama is in London for a series of meetings and the G-20 Summit set to officially get underway tomorrow. The 20 leaders of the world’s largest economic powers will grapple with the global financial crisis and try to come to some agreement on what to do about it.
