Have you ever experienced a sudden power outage?

It’s a very frustrating ordeal because it prevents you from cooking, having air conditioning when it’s hot, heating when it’s cold, and these days we might feel helpless without a working computer. Just about everything that operates on electricity would not be working during a power outage. It’s also impossible to do any work at a dry cleaners if you’re not getting any electricity.

Electricity seems to be as vital to us as air these days. Without electricity, life would be so much less convenient than what we are normally used to. However, when you consider the length of human history; the length of time that mankind has used electricity is not that long.

Whenever we get hit with a power outage, it’s one of the most annoying things we can experience. However, it’s good to keep in mind that there was a time when people didn’t even need electricity. People are not helpless without electricity.

Do you ever feel frustrated due to something you are lacking? Whether that is electricity or some other luxury we take for granted, take a moment and consider how you have the capacity to go without it.

Spring is quickly approaching, and it’s a reason to be happy and cheerful.

When the night temperature is mild, consider taking some time to enjoy the spring night by lighting some candles instead of using electricity, and if by chance you drip wax on an item of clothing, don’t worry,  you can always bring it to our cleaners!
