A big night for the celebs who were able take home gold and or shine at the 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony in Beverly Hills last night. Funny ladies, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, hosted the glitzy affair for the third and reportedly last time. Their jokes and zingers were not as funny as in years past, but the duo still rated as one of the major pluses of the ceremony broadcast on NBC.

Highlights and winners.  Some surprise winners among them, “Transparent.” A new TV comedy/drama about a Los Angeles family dealing with a shocking development — the father comes out as transgender. It walked away with two top awards. NPR  and The Hollywood Reporter  Best dressed lists — People Magazine ,  InStyle , and BuzzFeed

U.S. responds to criticism for not sending top official to that massive anti-terrorist rally in Paris yesterday. U.S, Secretary of State, John Kerry, to go there later this week. CNN
