On this the second day of fall, the temperature shot up to 80 degrees before noon  in Burbank. The high today in the Media City expected to be near 90. For those having to work outside, like the Burbank city crews pruning giant Ficus trees on Magnolia Boulevard, it’s going to be a tough day.

It probably feels more like triple digit temps to the tree trimmers who are wearing a ton of clothing and gear.

For several weeks, crews have been pruning the city trees up and down Magnolia Boulevard. This should please merchants who frequently have to clear the sidewalks  of the leaves and berries from the Ficus trees.  However, on a sun day like today pedestrians will probably missed the shade provided by the thick canopy from those trees.

The high in the Media City is expected to be near 90 today — with more sizzling temperatures tomorrow and through the rest of the week. This is what fall feels like in B-town.
