Web Buzz: Starbucks hacked, Rihanna’s deal, and more

The Web is buzzing with reports that Starbucks has been hacked. Some U.S.  customers are saying they’ve been ripped off hundreds of dollars and are blaming a Starbucks mobile app. Apparently, hackers have been able to gain access to victim’s reward cards. However, Starbucks is denying its app is the source of the hack. Details at CNBCStarbucks

ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos is in hot water for not disclosing a hefty donation to the Clintons’ charitable foundation. Stephanopoulos is now apologizing for the misstep. As a result, Stephanopoulos announced he will not be the moderator for the GOP primary debate next February. Former Los Angeles County Undersheriff and mayor of Gardena, Paul Tanaka,  was indicted today on obstruction of justice charges. Also indicted on the same charges, former L.A. County Sheriff’s Captain Tom Carey. U.S. Justice Department officials announced the indictments. Both men surrendered to authorities this morning. Los Angeles Daily News , CBSLA

Rihanna named the first Black ambassador for the luxury brand Dior.  The entertainer/supermodel will be appearing in a new ad campaign for the brand this spring.  Eonline , Essence .
