“The Shield” actor, Michael Jace’s, life has turned into a real police drama. Today the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office charged Jace with murder in connection with the shooting death of his wife last Monday.. Oscar winner, Cuba Gooding Jr., reportedly finalizing a deal to sell his posh and very private, Pacific Palisades estate for almost the asking price of $9,995, 000. The secluded English style mansion sits on nearly an acre of lush, park-like grounds, in the heart of the Palisades. Gooding bought the 6 bedroom, 7 bathroom, 6,753 square foot estate for $3.5 million in May of 2000. New action packed trailer for “Jupiter Ascending”

A new sci-fi film is stirring up interest. “Jupiter Ascending” is directed  and written by Andy and  Lana Wachowski, two science fiction/fantasy loving filmmakers who created  the ground-breaking  special effects laden”Matrix”  movie series. “Jupiter Ascending” stars Mila Kunis as Jupiter Jones, a janitor who had some tough breaks, but also has an impressive set of genes, which mark her as the next ruler of the Universe. That gets her in trouble. To the rescue, Cane, an interplanetary ex-military hunter, played by Channing Tatum.  Movie opens this summer on July 18.

The animation picture scooped up $21.8 million to move up from second last week to first place over the weekend. Another Hollywood star has passed away. Sid Caesar died today in his Beverly Hills home. TV talk show host/long time friend, Larry King, broke the sad news on KNX 1070 radio today. King called Caesar a “giant of comedy” for making  his mark back in the 50s on such TV hits as “Your Show Of Shows,” “Caesar’s Hour,” and “The Sid Caesar Show.” He appeared in movies as well, among them, “It’s A Mad, Mad, Mad World” (1963, “Airport”(1975), “Grease”(1978). Remembering Philip Seymour Hoffman: (1967 – 2014)

Celebrities joined family and friends for a private funeral service in New York yesterday for acclaimed actor, Philip Seymour Hoffman. The actor was found dead in his West Village apartment last Sunday, February 2. Media reports say Hoffman was discovered on the bathroom floor, with a needle in his arm. An autopsy was “inconclusive,” so the medical examiner says they will have to wait for toxicology test results.   “American Hustle” has more of an Oscar edge today after winning the top honor at the 20th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards ceremony at the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center in L.A. last night.
