Killer wildfire grows to more than 100,000 acres

Photo: Genaro Molina/ Los Angeles Times 08/30/09 — Wildfire rages in Acton. That Angeles National Forest wildfire continues to rampage with over 105,000 acres burned today. This killer wildfire has claimed two lives, 35-year-old Arnaldo Quinones and 47-year-old Tedmund Hall. Both Los Angeles County firefighters were fatally injured in a truck accident in the fire zone yesterday. The temperatures are a bit cooler today, but it’s still a tough fight for fire crews.
