2017 Burbank General Election final results released today

Burbank City Clerk, Zizette Mullins, announced the final results for the 2017 general election this afternoon. The only race on the ballot, a run-off  among four candidates for two seats on the city council. The election night preliminary numbers showed Councilman Bob Frutos winning with the most votes, followed by challenger Sharon Springer, Councilman Dr. David Gordon and the fourth candidate, Juan Guillen. Frutos and Springer lead in early returns for two Burbank City Council seats

Incumbent Bob Frutos and challenger, Sharon Springer, are holding down the top two spots in the early returns for two seats on the Burbank City Council. It was a busy evening at Burbank City Hall last night for election workers. The only race on the ballot, a run-off for the city council seats. The interest in the run-off has been strong. Talamantes, Frutos, on track for re-election in Burbank Primary

It’s not over yet, but two incumbent Burbank City Council members appear to be on track for re-election. In yesterday’s Burbank Primary Election, Mayor /Council member, Jess Talamantes, and Council member, Bob Frutos, were the only two candidates to receive at least 50 percent of the ballots plus one vote, which is the requirement for victory. Burbank Primary Election time to get those ballots in

Time is running out to return those 2017 Burbank Primary Election ballots. Burbank City Clerk, Zizette Mullins, says approximately 67,000 ballots were mailed out to registered voters in Burbank. So far the return has been disappointing. As of last Wednesday, 5,800 mail-in ballots had been return. By last Saturday, that number had climbed to 7, 890. In the 2015 Burbank Primary, 8,985 were returned. Mullins says they’re “hoping to exceed that number” in the 2017 primary. I hear a lot of complaints about what is wrong in Burbank. If those... Election News: Final 2015 Burbank General Election results

Today Burbank City Clerk, Zizette Mullins, announced the final results of last Tuesday’s general election. All ballots have been counted and verified — the  total 11,032. That represents 18.1 percent of  the ballots mailed out to the 60,853 eligible voters in Burbank.  That is about the same number cast in the 2013 Burbank General Election (11, 161). Update Burbank election ballots coming in at a fast pace

The mail-only ballots for the 2015 Burbank General Municipal Election are coming in at a fast pace. Last Tuesday, City Clerk, Zizette Mullins, reported receiving 7,100 ballots. Now, that number has jumped by more than a thousand.  “As of today we have received approximately 8400 ballots, at this point in the primary we received 7800 ballots and 7621 at the last general election, 2013,” according to Mullins. Ballots for the Burbank General Municipal Election are scheduled to go into the mail today. About 61, 000 ballot packets are being sent out to registered voters in the Media City. Final count of the 2015 Burbank Primary Election

The official final count of the 2015 Burbank Primary Municipal Election was released last Friday by the City Clerk’s Office. There were 87 ballots sent to the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder for signature verification. So now all the ballots have been verified and the election certified. The final number of ballots returned 10,190 or 16.6 percent of the 61,104 mailed to eligible voters. Oscar’s big night of glitz and glamour is less than a week away. Today is the deadline for members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to cast their ballots in the race for Oscar. Ballots coming in fast and furious On the day before Election Tuesday, the Burbank City Clerk’s Office has already received more ballots than were cast in the previous General Election. Keep a lookout for your election ballot

Burbank Primary Nominating Election ballots were delivered to the post office today and postal carriers will be dropping them in mailboxes, all across the city, over the next few days. Burbank Deputy City, Clerk Susan Domen, says there are around 60, 000 ballots — one for each registered voter in B-town. The ballot packet includes a postage prepaid return envelope.
