A Strong View: Romancing the Bean

Romancing the Bean. This little place has the best coffee.  They have a large variety including specialty coffees.  Also, the quiche is delicious, the blueberry muffins are divine. Their menu is uniquely chosen with a little bit of something for ever taste. They have pressed Sammy’s, (aged white cheddar, taleggio, blue cheese, mayo on walnut raisin bread) – if you love cheese, this is for you. There is a wonderful Smoked Salmon wrap, I liked this one. Whipped light cream cheese, English cucumber, arugula, spinach . It was just enough, not... Read More →

Holiday Spirit — one agent/blogger’s gift

Really bad wintry weather (snow, ice, sleet, and rain) is derailing holiday plans and travel itineraries for people all across the country. The airlines have canceled hundreds of flights in the past few days. You can understand that, but apparently many of those passengers affected by the cancellations can’t get on another flight before Christmas. Gee, bad weather happens this time every year. You’d think the airlines would have added extra flights during the holidays. The airlines will probably be the next companies asking for a chunk of that bailout money because... Read More →

Thanksgiving blessings and Danielle Steel’s blog

Bestselling author Danielle Steel has sold somewhere in the neighborhood of 550 million books. However, she’s never popped on the Internet to write a blog, until now.  Daniellesteel.net went online with its first post on Wednesday, October 29, 2008. Yesterday, I dropped by Steel’s blog and came across her touching November 26 post about Thanksgiving. Steel writes about being thankful when life is less than perfect. It’s a good reminder that fate throws some nasty blows at us all; even the rich and famous.   Steel’s latest hardcover is called...
