For months now, there has been chatter around B-town about former Burbank Airport Commissioner, Sue Georgino, and where her true loyalties lie. Plan to rebrand Bob Hope Airport stalls

A plan to rebrand Bob Hope Airport as Los Angeles Burbank Airport has stalled and will not move forward to the full airport authority commission for consideration at this time. In fact, the Operations and Development committee kicked the plan back to the airport authority staff and the consultant firm, Anyone Collective, to do more research and seek input from more of the stakeholders. Burbank mayor speaks out about airport rebranding issue

Burbank Mayor, Bob Frutos, is on an urgent mission to reach out to as many residents as possible and he has very little time to do it. An electrical outage at Bob Hope Airport blamed on storm

A TSA checkpoint at the Bob Hope Airport is back up and running today, after being knocked out by yesterday’s stormy weather. It happened around 5 p.m. Victor Gill, spokesman for the airport, says storm water caused an electrical outage.  Here’s the tweet that the airport sent out late yesterday.   Terminal A checkpoint currently closed due to electrical outage. Southwest Airlines scores high in new study

When it comes to customer satisfaction, Southwest Airlines is flying high. The airlines, a frequent flyer out of  Burbank’s Bob Hope Airport, ranked second only to JetBlue  Airways for low cost carriers in the J.D. Power and Associates’ 2013 North America Airline Satisfaction study. Out of a total points of 1,000, JetBlue led the list of low-cost carriers with 787, followed by Southwest with 770 points. UPDATE: November 30, 2012 8:45 a.m. Take-off runway lights are back on at Bob Hope Airport. The announcement is on its website.   Technical problems at Bob Hope Airport after the lights on the main take-off runway failed. Repairs are underway — but no word yet on when the work will be finished.
