A shout out to Burbank Unified School District officials

Quick action by some officials in the Burbank Unified School District have turned a call out into a shout out for some watering issues at David Starr Jordan Middle School, 420 South Mariposa Street. Burbank school officials got called out on  Media City Groove for watering the front lawn at Jordan on a hot Labor Day, two weeks ago. Not only were the sprinklers going full force, but the watering occurred on Monday. Burbank allows outside irrigation only on Tuesdays and Saturdays.... Read More →

  The six candidates vying for three seats on the Burbank Board of Education will be front and center this evening at a forum on the Woodbury University campus in Burbank. Burbank Election News: Ballots, campaign sign theft, and city council candidate speaks out

Ballots coming in fast and furious On the day before Election Tuesday, the Burbank City Clerk’s Office has already received more ballots than were cast in the previous General Election. In 2011, 8,866 ballots were cast. City Clerk, Zizette Mullins, told me today that the ballot count jumped to 8,796 last Saturday. Today, 200 more ballots came in, bringing the total to 8,996. My ballot is in the mail, what about yours?

Earlier this week, I mailed off my ballot for the Burbank General Municipal Election at my local post office. Today is really the last day you should mail your ballot. You don’t want to miss the 7 p.m. Election Day deadline. Starting tomorrow, the best way to ensure that your ballot will get counted is to take it to one of the drop off centers or City Clerk’s Office in City Hall, 275 East Olive Avenue. Burbank Election News: Candidates forums, election ballots, and Golonski mailer

The Burbank General Municipal Election is Tuesday, April 9, less than three weeks away. The Burbank Association of Realtors is offering a free opportunity to hear the candidates discuss the issues and concerns of the residents in the Media City at two forums.
