Frutos and Springer lead in early returns for two Burbank City Council seats

Incumbent Bob Frutos and challenger, Sharon Springer, are holding down the top two spots in the early returns for two seats on the Burbank City Council. It was a busy evening at Burbank City Hall last night for election workers. The only race on the ballot, a run-off for the city council seats. The interest in the run-off has been strong. Long time activist and political strategist, Steve Ferguson, has kicked off his campaign for a seat on the Burbank School Board. Ferguson first announced his intentions publicly on this blog last month, following his controversial defeat for the appointment by the Burbank Board of Education to fill the remaining term of Debbie Kukta — who stepped down to take the interim position of city treasurer. Latest on violent incident at Burbank councilman’s business office

  A person of interest reportedly has been interviewed in connection with that brick through the window incident at Burbank Councilman David Gordon’s optometry office on Hollywood Way last month. Talk of the town: Incident at Burbank Councilman Gordon’s business office

A lot of chatter and questions being asked about that incident at Burbank City Councilman Dr. David Gordon’s business office a little over a week ago. Burbank Police are reporting that a brick was tossed through a “4 by 6 foot window” at  Dr. Gordon’s optometry office in the 800 block of Hollywood Way, March 16, at around 10 p.m. Was it a random act of vandalism  or something more sinister?
