New hacker victims! Sony’s Amy Pascal is heading for the door, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The co-chair of Sony Entertainment, Pascal apparently got hit with the fallout from that major cyber attack from the group calling itself Guardians of Peace — which leaked embarrassing and sensitive company documents as well as threatening havoc if “The Interview” film was release. In the wake of hacker threats, Sony cancels “The Interview”

  The hackers appear to be winning in the face-off with Sony Pictures. Today Sony canceled the Christmas Day release of the action comedy, “The Interview, ” after several major chains pulled the film from its theaters. “In light of the decision by the majority of our exhibitors not to show the film The Interview, we have decided not to move forward with the planned December 25 theatrical release. FBI confirms Sony Pictures hacked

 Sony Pctures has been hacked! The cyber attack on the entertainment studio reportedly began “… about a week ago when a group called Guardians of Peace, or #GOP for short, gained access to the studio’s system and arranged for a bizarre image and poorly worded text to appear on the computer screens of employee,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. Hackers attack Kmart, Albertsons hit for a second time

Kmart is the latest retailer to be attacked by hackers. The disclosure was made on October 9 “… our Kmart store payment data systems were infected with a form of malware that was undetectable by current anti-virus systems. We were able to quickly remove the malware. However, we believe certain debit and credit card numbers have been compromised, ” according to a news release from the company. Kmart will be offering free credit monitoring protection for those who shopped at its stores during September through last Thursday.  More... Read More →

Consumer Alert: Security breach confirmed at The Home Depot

The Home Depot has confirmed it was hacked.  On September 2, the world’s largest home improvement chain announced an investigation, involving the Secret Service and security experts, into the attack. On Monday, September 8,  Home Depot confirmed its data payment systems had been invaded by cyber thieves. eBay hacked

Internet giant, eBay, is the latest victim of a massive cyber attack. The global marketplace company posted an announcement on its website today “…  asking all eBay users (both buyers and sellers) to change their passwords…” There reportedly are 145 million eBay users worldwide. The security breach apparently occurred sometime between “late February and early March” of 2014, but only detected two weeks ago, according to Forbes.
