Beyonce’s sold out concert at the Rose Bowl last night

Thousands turned out for Beyonce’s #WorldFormationTour at the Rose Bowl last night. In the sold-out crowd, celebrities Hilary Duff, Holly Robinson Peete, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Ashley Tisdale,  Kerry Washington, Octavia Spencer, along with mega-producer Shonda Rhimes and retired NBA star Kobe Bryant. I was not lucky enough to get a ticket. Pasadena Now reports that at one point tickets soared to $1,500 for some of the best seats. The Web is buzzing with reports that Starbucks has been hacked. Some U.S.  customers are saying they’ve been ripped off hundreds of dollars and are blaming a Starbucks mobile app. Apparently, hackers have been able to gain access to victim’s reward cards. However, Starbucks is denying its app is the source of the hack. Circus Vargas opens in Burbank today

Circus Vargas is doing a repeat series of performances in Burbank beginning today. Last October, the travelling circus stopped off in the Media City for several days — now it’s back for an encore.” Aerialists, acrobats, clowns and the ballyhoo of nostalgic Americana,” will be part of the new production entitled Arlequin, according to a news release.  They’re promising fun and thrills for children and those who are young at heart. Under threatening skies yesterday, Burbank on Parade paid tribute to Burbank as “City of the Wild Wild West.” Leading off this year’s parade “Gunfighters for Hire.” The performers were dressed for the period and packing their sidearms. Along the parade route, Keystone Street to Lomita Street on Olive Avenue, these hotheads would settle their disputes with a series of bang, bang, shoot’em ups. The parade spectators loved it! Pop sensation, Lady Gaga, has made a new purchase in the Southland and the property includes what is known as a “batcave.” Gaga reportedly dropped $22.5 million for a large estate out in Malibu, according to Zillow. It sits on 6 acres across from Zuma Beach and has many of the typical amenities of a celebrity home including spectacular beachfront views, a wine cellar, and a home theater. Joan Rivers’ cause of death revealed

Legendary comedienne, Joan Rivers, died of brain damage caused by lack of oxygen a result  of “a predictable complication of medical therapy.” according to a report released today by New York medical examiner’s office. On August 28, Rivers entered Manhattan’s Yorkville Endoscopy clinic. The medical examiner’s report says the entertainer underwent a laryngoscopy  and upper gastrointestinal endoscopy with propofol sedation to investigate voice and stomach reflux issues. The web has been buzzing for days with wild reports about circumstances surrounding the shocking death of legendary comic, Joan Rivers, last month. I want to give a shout- out to the music genius with one of my favorite MJ tunes and videos, “Remember the Time” (released January 14, 1992). The cast includes entertainer, Eddie Murphy, supermodel, Iman, Laker legend, Magic Johnson, and stars, the King of Pop.

Rihanna has put her Pacific Palisades pad up for sale. The 10,000-square-foot, 7-bedroom, 8-bath ultra modern mansion with a Caribbean-influence was never home sweet home for the singer. The Grammy winner  moved into the gated estate back in December of 2012, within a few short months, “trespassers, stalkers, and burglars” were arrested at or near the property, according to the Trulia website. Rocker Mick Jagger’s girlfriend found dead

L’Wren Scott, fashion designer, stylist, and longtime girlfriend of rocker, Mick Jagger, was found dead of an apparent suicide in her posh New York City apartment today. Media reports say the 6-3 former model was discovered hanging by a scarf from a doorknob, by an assistant this morning. Jagger and the Rolling Stones  are in Australia, part of their world tour.
