Los Angeles Women’s International Film Festival

Screening features documentaries and student shorts made by women from around the globe at Woodbury University in Burbank. The Los Angeles Women’s International Film Festival is in its 11th year. Festival offers women filmmakers worldwide an opportunity to share their “share their unique stories and cultural experiences” with the Southland’s diverse audience.

The film festival is produced by the Alliance of Women Filmmakers, AWF, a non-profit organization. Long time Burbank resident and filmmaker, Anne O’Neal, has a lot to smile about and be proud of  these days. Chris Rock, new book deal & documentary at Sundance

   One of the most important showcases for independent cinema, the Sundance Film Festival, opens today in Park City, Utah. Sundance is celebrating its 25th year. More than 115 films and 16 documentaries were selected for screening during the 10-day festival. Entertainer Chris Rock has a film in the U.S. documentary competition.
