Housing rights workshop to be held in Burbank

Alert for tenants in Burbank! A housing rights workshop is coming up very soon. The workshop will be Monday, February 24, 2020. The location is the Community Services Building, 150 North Third Street, room 104, in Downtown Burbank. The event will run from 6-to-8pm. The event is sponsored by the Housing Rights Center, a national non-profit/civil rights organization promoting fair housing, and the City of Burbank.

A showdown over the proliferation of “McMansion” size homes in Burbank is set for tonight at the Burbank City Council meeting. Last week, the city council heard from a number of  residents who spoke out about McMansions sprouting up in Burbank neighborhoods. Heads Up: Discussions about controversial unlicensed care facilities in Burbank neighborhoods

The hot button issue of care facilities and group homes in Burbank residential neighborhoods will be discussed at a special community meeting, 150 North Third Street in Burbank at 7 p.m. this evening.
