Number 24, Kobe Bryant, reminded everyone last night what kind of player he has been during his record-setting 20 seasons with the Lakers. During the past few months of his final season, it has seemed many times Bryant was limping into retirement — a shadow of the player he used to be. Laker guard Kobe Bryant to have surgery

The Los Angeles Lakers today announced what many had expected. Kobe Bryant will have shoulder surgery. Some reports are saying this means Bryant is done for the season. Age maybe catching up with the 36 year-old veteran player who has missed a lot of games over the past three seasons due to injuries. Already there is chatter suggesting it’s time for Bryant to hang-up his basketball sneakers and take that walk into retirement.
