A life lived to the fullest with courage, hope, and inspiration for many came to an end today. Elizabeth Edwards died, after a six-year battle with cancer,  at her home in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, surrounded by her family. The wife of disgraced politician John Edwards was only 61. Famous announcer/talk show sidekick Ed McMahon  died today, reportedly after a battle with cancer. He was 86. He was born Edward Leo Peter McMahon in Detroit on March 6, 1923. Actor David Carradine found dead in Thailand

Tragedy in Thailand today where actor David Carradine  was found dead in a Bangkok hotel room. The 72-year-old actor’s body was discovered, by a maid, hanging from a nylon rope in a closet, according to police there. The rope reportedly came from curtains in the hotel room. Comedian/author Dom DeLuise dies at 75

  The entertainment industry is mourning the death of funnyman, Dom DeLuise. The actor’s son Michael told KNX 1070 newsradio that his father died in Santa Monica last night after a long illness. He was 75. During his long career, DeLuise was best known for his comic genius on television and in the movies. However, the entertainer was a published author as well. DeLuise  wrote several cookbooks of Italian recipes with wit and humor. His popular first cookbook was reissued in October of 2007 as “Eat This Again.” Also, DeLuise wrote the children’s books, “Charlie the Caterpillar,”... She carried her tall frame proudly and with a deep voice and sharp wit, could deliver some of the best comedy one-liners ever.   Arthur acted on stage in local theater as well as on Broadway. Natasha Richardson 1963 – 2009    Los Angeles Times Photo   Actress Natasha Richardson died today after apparently suffering a serious head injury in a ski accident on Monday. Media reports say Richardson took a tumble on a beginners’ slope at a resort near Montreal. Her husband, actor Liam Neeson, was shooting a film in Toronto at the time. Bettie (also known as Betty) Page’s sexy, but fun photos became all the rage in the 1950s. Page is credited with helping usher in the sexual revolution of the 1960s. Last night, Page died at a hospital in Los Angeles. Page had been battling pneumonia when she suffered a heart attack on December 2. Page’s most famous pictures showed her in high heels, swimsuits, lingerie, bondage attire or sometimes nothing at all.
