State agency conducts vehicle inspections in Burbank

The Bureau of Automotive Repair conducted several hours of vehicle inspections or an emission survey, on West Olive Avenue between South Virginia Avenue and North Lomita Street in Burbank today. BAR performs the surveys “…in the areas of the state with the poorest air quality,” according to the agency’s website. Watching television most popular leisure activity for Americans

Despite all the options Americans have they still spend most of their leisure time watching television.  If you’re 15 years or older, you were eyeballing the small tube 2.8 hours per day in 2013. Conventional TV pretty much dead for majority of teenagers

That old argument between parents and their teenagers over the TV remote is not happening a lot these days, according to a new study out by professional services and consulting firm, Deloitte.  Surveying the 14-24 group, the so-called “training millennials,” found 56 percent of them catch their “… favorite shows on computers, smartphones, tablets and gaming devices rather than a television,” according to Engadget. Burbank survey — a high grade for city services

City Hall officials are fiercely working to spruce-up and polish Burbank’s image ahead of those all important local election coming up in a few months. First, that highly touted, but rather bland monthly newsletter, Burbank USA, popped up around town and in utility bills.
