Vice-President Joe Biden continues his visit in the Southland today. Yesterday, the Veepee snarled traffic in Burbank with a late afternoon visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show at the Warner Bros. Studios. Today more headaches for Southland motorist as Biden heads out to West Los Angeles College in Ladera Heights. Biden is expected to have a sit down discussion with students and administrators about helping more Americans go to college — specifically President Obama’s proposed community college program. NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers” got off to a nice start. The late night talker premiere last night with special guests Veepee Joe Biden and funny lady, Amy Poehler. “Late Night with Seth Meyers” debuted with an average of 3.4 million viewers that’s better than the 2,8 million who tuned in for Jimmy Fallon’s first night as host of “Late Night” back in March of 2009. A ton of chatter about the premiere of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” Monday night rating reportedly show 11.3 million viewers stayed up for the midnight broadcast, according to The Hollywood Reporter. I watched and was disappointed. I’ve seen Fallon on “Late Night” and thought he was a pretty good host. Hipper and more into the pop culture scene than Jay Leno, but just as likeable. The midnight deadline to file 2010 tax returns is fast approaching. Usually, the deadline for filing federal tax returns is April 15, however, this year we got a three -day-grace period. A glitzy state dinner for President Hu Jintao of China at the White House, last Wednesday. It was the first formal dinner for China in more than 13 years. The last one was during the Bill Clinton Administration. At the affair, First Lady Michelle Obama dazzled in a gorgeous red and black gown by the late British designer, Alexander McQueen.
