Orland victims remembered as mass shooting probe continues today. The names of the victims of America’s worst mass shooting are being released. Profiles of the victims here and here. The investigation continues today at the crime scene, the Florida nightclub Pulse. Gunman, Omar Mateen, barged into the well-known gay club early Sunday morning and began shooting. Suspects in violent home invasion robbery due in court today

Two suspects are due to appear in court today in connection with a violent home invasion robbery and attack on an elderly Burbank resident. Twenty-seven year-old Lonnie Garcia was arrested in Pasadena last Wednesday, July 15, “for the home invasion robbery and attempt murder”  of 89 year-old Gerri Dickinson, according to a Burbank news release. Sergeant Claudio Losacco says Garcia “was recently released from prison.” He’s being held without bail. Burbank PD investigating stabbing of two victims

Two stabbing victims reportedly are in serious condition tonight after an apparent attack in the Burbank hill area. Burbank Police officers and Burbank Fire paramedics responded to a 9-1-1 call and discovered the victims, two males in their early 20s, near  the 1000 block of East Angeleno Avenue this afternoon, according to a news release from the BPD. Both victims suffered multiple stab wounds and were taken to local hospitals. Today the death toll from superstorm Sandy in the U.S. stands at 96 and could still go higher. President Obama meets victims of Colorado theater shooting

President Obama visited some of the victims of that tragic theater shooting in Aurora, Colorado and their families yesterday. At the University of Colorado Hospital, Obama chatted with victim Allie Young and hugged her friend Stephanie Davies — who is credited with keeping Young alive after she was shot. Twelve moviegoers were killed and around 58 wounded when a gunman sprayed a darkened theater with gunfire early last Friday.
