As expected, Charter announced its deal to buy Time Warner Cable today. In a news released posted on the Charter website, the company says the deal is valued at $78.7 billion. Web Buzz: Starbucks hacked, Rihanna’s deal, and more

The Web is buzzing with reports that Starbucks has been hacked. Some U.S.  customers are saying they’ve been ripped off hundreds of dollars and are blaming a Starbucks mobile app. Apparently, hackers have been able to gain access to victim’s reward cards. However, Starbucks is denying its app is the source of the hack. Social media giant, Facebook, just announced an amazing deal. It’s buying popular messaging mobile startup, WhatsApp, for $16-19 billion. Yes, that’s billion with a “b.”  More on this huge Internet purchase and the two WhatsApp owners who are now billionaires on Forbes.
