A person of interest reportedly has been interviewed in connection with that brick through the window incident at Burbank Councilman David Gordon’s optometry office on Hollywood Way last month. It happened on March 16 at around 10 p.m. and according to Burbank Police Officer, Joshua Kendrick, a suspect “.. was last seen fleeing the scene, southbound on Hollywood Way in a vehicle.” Dr. Gordon say nothing like this has ever happened in his 30 years of business: “the act of violence against my office was shocking and most unfortunate.”

Yesterday I got an update on the investigation from Sergeant Darin Ryburn, over in BPD Media Relations. In an e-mail, Sgt.Ryburn stated a person of interest had been questioned. Also, Ryburn says the investigation is wrapping up and soon the results will be handed over to the City Attorney’s office “… for review of possible misdemeanor charges ..”

    Thanks Fronnie,

It’s always interesting to learn how the Burbank Police Department “reaches out” to the Community.

So many times they have indicated that NO information is available due to an “ongoing investigation”–this time the PR Machine is cranking along DURING the investigation.

The PR types are even telegraphing the “results” before the Detectives finish “wrapping up” their investigation!!

Ah, the “new & improved” BPD.

    Dixie,

There’s a lot of interest in the investigation surrounding this incident. I kept asking questions until I got an update.

    Miss Fronnie,

    You are absolutely correct.

There has been a lot of interest in other investigations surrounding MANY incidents over the last several YEARS.

You may have noted the Front Page story today in the Weekend Edition of our Local Paper alerting us that the District Attorney issued “letters” that exonerated Police Officers in GLENDALE.

Word is “letters” were issued over some period of time exonerating Police Officers in BURBANK on various incidents, but it hasn’t made the Paper even NOW!!

Could your persistence be applied to our ongoing $Multi-Million Dollar Police Mess?

Should your “magic” work some more it could make some Families feel much better.

    Dixie,

As you know, I began asking questions and posting stories about the Burbank Police Mess as far back as May of 2009. I was one of the first in the media to do that. I do not have the Burbank Leader’s resources nor its access, but I WILL continue to report on as many aspects of that major developing story as I can.

Yes, I have heard about some letters issued by the District Attorney’s Office which reportedly clear some Burbank Police Officers of wrong doing. You’re right, there are a lot of Burbank investigations and story leads that need to be followed up. The police families AND the public deserve no less.
