The cloudy skies over Burbank came alive with lightning and thunder this afternoon around 2:40 p.m. Also, raindrops began to fall and are expected to continue off and on at least through this evening. There’s a storm system moving through Los Angeles County. The weather watchers say there will be periods of heavy downpours, isolated thunderstorms, and hail in some areas including the San Gabriel Valley.
