If you’re hitting the road for the long Thanksgiving Holiday weekend, you are not alone. The Automobile Club says 43.4 million of us will be traveling during this time — and nearly 90 percent will be doing so on the roads and highways. The busiest day for any kind of  Thanksgiving travel is today, the day before Turkey Day.

Meanwhile, gas prices are rising , after declining steadily for several weeks. On November 12, the national average for a gallon of regular gas $3.18. Over the past few days the price has jumped 10 cents to $3.28, according the AAA. Here in California were gas is always pricey, the statewide average for regular is $3.56 a gallon. In our area, the Los Angeles-Long Beach region, a gallon of regular is selling for $3.59 at most places.

Be patience and drive with care, you’ll save gas and hopefully, avoid serious traffic drama. In Burbank this morning, police were out in force ticketing — so follow the rules.
