It’s a rainy Sunday in the Southland. Not a storming pounding rain, but strong enough to need an umbrella. In Burbank, light rain is falling this morning. The high only in the 60s in the Media City. The rain is expected to taper off as the day goes on, but there is still a threat of a shower or two for this afternoon’s Golden Globe Awards hoopla in Beverly Hills.
Final preps are underway for the 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel today. The red carpet is being covered and pampered to keep it dry during the rain. There are hopes that umbrellas will not be needed when the celebs begin arriving this afternoon. Even though the Globes have a party-like feel they are taken seriously in the race for Oscar. Here’s a list of the nominees. For the third time funny ladies, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, will host. NBC will be carrying the show live beginning at 5 p.m.
