Several challengers, all 80s remakes, hit theaters last week — the strongest, “About Last Night.” The urban romantic comedy debut with $27.8 million. Kevin Hart leads a cast that includes, Michael Ealy, Regina Hall, and Joy Bryant.

Hart is one of the hottest actor/comedians right now. Hart co-stars with Ice Cube in “Ride Along,” which has made a huge $117 million since it opened five weeks ago. The action comedy had a modest budget of $25 million. Also, Hart starred in the hit relationship comedy, “Think Like A Man,”(2012)  with Ealy and Hall. All three will be seen this June in the sequel, “Think Like A Man too” (2014).

Hart has signed on for “Ride Along 2” and several other movie and TV projects as well. He’s probably the hardest working man in showbiz right now.

In third place at the box office, the reboot of “RoboCop,” with $25 million, followed by “The Monuments Men”  at$17,9 million and rounding out the top five, another remake, “Endless Love” debuted with $14.4 million.
