Police make four arrests during DUI checkpoint in Burbank

Burbank Police revealed today that four people were arrested during a very busy DUI checkpoint operation at Hollywood Way and Tulare Avenue in the Media City, last Saturday. Nearly a thousand vehicles passed through the checkpoint between 9 p.m. and 2 a.m., according to a Burbank PD news release. Burbank Police arrest Verdugo Park pool lifeguard. Twenty-three year-old Sun Valley resident, Arturo Montano, was booked at the Burbank jail for “for possessing images of a minor, which he used for the purpose of sexual stimulation and on six counts of concealing a camera to videotape the less than fully clothed bodies of others without their knowledge, for the purpose of sexual gratification,” according to a BPD news release. ex-Burbank school coach arrested for sex with a minor

For the third time in 10 months, an employee or former employee of a high school in Burbank has been arrested for alleged sexual misconduct with a minor. The latest arrest took place yesterday. Burbank Police say Jose Banuelos Jr., an assistant baseball coach at John Burroughs High School and part-time employee of Burbank Parks and Recreation Department, was taken into custody in the parking lot of Ralph’s supermarket 2600 West Victory Boulevard. Two suspects arrested in Burbank gang-related shooting

Two suspects arrested last Friday are set to appear in court this week in connection with a Burbank gang-related shooting. The suspects are identified as Erik Manooki,  a 19 year-old alleged gang member from Sunland, and 22 year-old Candice Richardson of Burbank.”It is believed Manooki is the shooter in this case and Richardson instigated the crime as retribution related to a prior gang related incident,” according to Burbank Police Sergeant Claudio Losacco. Former “Glee” star Mark Salling facing child porn charges

The year is ending on a sour note for a former star of the hit TV series “Glee.” Mark Salling, who played bad boy  Noah “Puck” Puckerman, on the comedy/musical is facing charges of possession of child pornography. Salling was arrested yesterday at his home in nearby by Sunland and is now out on bail. A tip led to the actor’s arrest according to ABC News.

Employee arrested in Disneyland explosion

  A Disney employee reportedly is being held on a $1 million dollars bail today in connection with that dry-ice explosion near Mickey’s Toontown attraction, in the Disneyland theme park in Anaheim late yesterday. The dry-ice was apparently inside a bottle, which was tossed into a trash can. The blast was described as being small — no damages nor injuries.
