On Friday, March 20, Burbank Mayor Sharon Springer recorded another coronavirus outbreak update for residents. In this video, Springer talks about the “Safer at Home” order from the State of California and the Los Angeles County Health Department. Also, the mayor explains what you can do and what you cannot do under the new tighter restrictions.

Burbank water and power rate increase suspended

Some good news for Burbankers. The recently proposed Burbank Water and Power rate increase has been suspended. Last Thursday, March 19, city officials made the decision due to the outbreak of the coronavirus. Mayor Sharon Springer has more on that and an alert for residents to be on the lookout for scammers during this difficult time.

Coronavirus update from the City of Burbank

Here’s the latest coronavirus update from the City of Burbank. Last night, the Burbank City Council approved an urgency ordinance prohibiting the evictions of residential and commercial tenants for non-payment of rent due to the coronavirus crisis. The pandemic strikes again. The coronavirus prompts more cancellations in Burbank. The March food truck festival on Magnolia Blvd. is now a no-go. Ladies and Gents Night Out, as it is officially known, got canceled yesterday. It was scheduled for Friday, March 27. The Magnolia Park Merchants Association sponsors the event for 10 months of the year.
