Burbank Police investigating gang-related shooting

Burbank Police are investigating what they’re calling a gang-related shooting, which sent an 18 year-old male to the hospital. The victim was hit by gunfire on New Year’s Eve. It happened in the 200 block of West Verdugo Avenue at around 2:30 p.m. In a news release, Burbank PD spokesman, Sergeant Claudio Losacco said “Preliminary information is that a black sedan, occupied by two Hispanic males drove by, yelling gang related obscenities and shot at the victim and his friend.” The unidentified victim was rushed to the hospital... Burbank Police admit they arrested the wrong man for murder! As reported here, BPD were called to a home in the 1900 block of Richard Street Sunday night and discovered the body of a woman. Burbank man arrested in connection with a homicide

Local media is reporting the arrested of a 49 year-old Burbank man in connection with the death of a woman last night. Burbank Police answered a call about “a female not breathing” at a home in the 1900 block of Richard Street at around 10 p.m. Sunday, according to a news release. Once inside, officers discovered the victim’s body. The death was considered suspicious so homicide investigators were brought in.   UPDATED: October 21, 2014 Burbank Police are now calling this a case domestic violence that ended with attempted murder and a suicide. Police discovered a 50 year-old man, who had been fatally shot, in the cab of a tractor- trailer at Affordable Storage in Burbank early yesterday afternoon.
