UPDATED: Vintage license plates available now in California

The California DMV is offering something special for the drivers of vintage vehicles and they’re going fast. This week, the Department of Motor Vehicles began accepting applications for the California Legacy License Plate Program. Under the program, motorists who drive classic vehicles, from the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, now will get a chance to purchase replicas of license plates issued during those time periods. California DMV investigating possible credit card data breach

The California DMV has one of th worst reputations for long lines and poor customer service. Now a possible credit card data hack may add to the image problems for that department, which handles transactions for more than 23 million drivers and registrations for at least 32 million vehicles.
