NBC dumps Donald Trump. The network released a statement saying it fired the Donald because of negative remarks he made about Mexicans, when he launched his presidential campaign earlier this month on Tuesday, June 16. A big night for the celebs who were able take home gold and or shine at the 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony in Beverly Hills last night. Funny ladies, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, hosted the glitzy affair for the third and reportedly last time. A spectacular evening of music and fashion is planned for the opening night gala of the Burbank Philharmonic Orchestra’s 24th concert season. Several Burbank Philharmonic musicians will be wearing gowns created for this special evening by the talented fashion designers at Woodbury University. Soloist, Heidi Hatch, will be performing Glazunov’s “Violin Concerto” and wearing one of the designer creations. This is the second year of the partnership between the university and the orchestra.

As expected, “The King’s Speech” captured the best picture Oscar at the 83rd Academy Awards ceremony at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood tonight. The surprise, the historic British drama was nominated for a record 12 awards, but only won four. Along with best picture, Colin Firth grabbed best actor, Tom Hooper best director, and David Seidler walked off with the best original screenplay trophy. Mrs. Obama appeared on “The Today Show” last Wednesday morning, wearing a version of a navy polka dotted dress from the spring collection of Swedish retailer, H&M. The price tag, a modest $34.95. A glitzy state dinner for President Hu Jintao of China at the White House, last Wednesday. It was the first formal dinner for China in more than 13 years.
