Mustang Mardi Gras at John Muir in Burbank

A BNLP fundraiser to provide much needed instruments for students at John Muir Middle School in Burbank.

The Burbank Neighborhood Leadership Program (BNLP) was established in 2008 with full support of  the Burbank’s City Council. BNLP is a six-month program for adult Burbank residents run by the Parks and Recreation Department’s Connect with your Community Initiative. This grassroots leadership program gives Burbank residents the tools to become leaders at home, work, and in their community. The program goals are to develop leadership, encourage lifelong learning and personal development, and inspire community ambassadors.
We, the BNLP class of 2015, are a team of 8 Burbank residents who want to make a positive difference in our community. One of the program requirements is to complete a community project. Our community project goal is to provide much needed new trumpets and trombones for the John Muir Middle School Band and Orchestra. John Muir is the largest of the three middle schools in the Burbank Unified School District and serves a diverse population of students. The school emphasizes a rigorous academic program and provides outstanding opportunities for students to create and perform. They have award-winning programs in drama, vocal music, instrumental music, and arts.

We want to invite you to participate in our community project and fundraising event:
