Kobe Bryant retires from the NBA

Number 24, Kobe Bryant, reminded everyone last night what kind of player he has been during his record-setting 20 seasons with the Lakers. During the past few months of his final season, it has seemed many times Bryant was limping into retirement — a shadow of the player he used to be. Burbank city manager sends out retirement email

More drama at city hall in Burbank. Late last night, City Manager, Mark Scott, sent out an email about his plans to retire to City Clerk, Zizette Mullins. After his threat to resign over a vote he did not like at last Monday’s city council meeting, Scott clarified his intentions. David Letterman announces surprise retirement from “Late Show”

The late night TV talk show landscape is about to change again. In a surprise announcement today, veteran talker, David Letterman, says he’s calling it quits in 2015 when his contract expires. Letterman announced  his retirement today in front of a studio audience before Thursday’s taping of  the CBS “Late Show” in the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City’s Times Square.
