My Take: The unfriendly skies

After my scary flight on American Airlines last week, the friendly skies do not look so, ah, friendly. Turns out passengers on another commercial jetliner, a Southwest Airlines flight from Tampa, Florida to Raleigh, North Carolina, got an even worse fright from their pilot. Southwest Airlines scores high in new study

When it comes to customer satisfaction, Southwest Airlines is flying high. The airlines, a frequent flyer out of  Burbank’s Bob Hope Airport, ranked second only to JetBlue  Airways for low cost carriers in the J.D. Power and Associates’ 2013 North America Airline Satisfaction study. Out of a total points of 1,000, JetBlue led the list of low-cost carriers with 787, followed by Southwest with 770 points.
