JLo backed company buys Fuse network

Entertainer Jennifer Lopez is known for her work as a singer and actress. Lopez is also getting noticed for her behind the scenes business savvy. Lopez is the chief creative officer for Glendale-based company,  NUVOtv, which announced last Friday it will buy music-oriented Fuse network for $226 million. NUVOtv, an English language network aimed at Latinos, is seen in 23 million households. Republicans go after CNN and NBC over Hillary Clinton projects

  The 2016 presidential race is still several years off, but there is already controversy swirling around one potential candidate and the GOP. Former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, hasn’t officially announced  another run for president, but some Republican Party leaders are so fearful of her candidacy they’re threatening two networks who are developing projects about the ex-First Lady. NBC Universal: More cutbacks and layoffs

NBC Universal is showing signs of rising from the ratings cellar, but that has not stopped the cutbacks and layoffs by parent company, Comcast. (Disclosure: I am a former NBC employee). The Internet is buzzing with the latest reports of 500 employees getting the axe throughout the entertainment, news, and cable units.
