  Ho! Ho! Ho! We have beautiful SoCal weather on this Christmas day. The high is expected to reached the 80s today in Burbank! Yeah, winter started last Saturday and we’re getting spring-like weather. Yippee! Fall returns to Burbank

  A major chance in the weather today. Yesterday, the Media City sizzled with a high of 92. ABC7’s meteorologist, Dallas Raines, reported last night that high broke a record of 91 — set back in 1974. Today the temperature is expected to reach only 70 in B-town.. Partly cloudy skies in the forecast, along with a chance of light drizzle or rain tonight and tomorrow.  Fall returns to Burbank, which is not a bad thing. That kind of weather really feels like Thanksgiving time in the Southland.

Looking for a cool place to chill out for a while on this sizzling hot weekend? Check out a couple of the libraries in the Media City– which have been designated as cooling centers by Burbank officials. Hours of operation have been extended at the Buena Vista Library located at 300 North Buena Vista Street.. Serious heat in Burbank today

  UPDATED: September, 6, 2013 2:30 a.m. Brace yourself for another hot one in the Media City. At 2:30 a.m. the temperature is still in the 80s. Not much relief overnight and none is predicted once the sun comes up. Yesterday, Burbank reached 102.   It’s been hot and humid for several days in the Southland and more heat is on the way. Going to be hot,hot in Burbank today!

  Get out the umbrellas, hats, and sunglasses! The Media City is sizzling today with temperatures in the upper 80s before 10:30 a.m. When that happens you know it’s going to be a hot one in B-town. Also, the weather may get a little weird– there’s a 20- 25 percent chance of rain — even some thunderstorms in the forecast. The high today in Burbank — low to upper 90s, but don’t be surprised if we hit triple digits.

Weather change: Overcast skies and a chance of rain

  A change in the weather for Burbank and much of the Southland today. Sure there will be sunshine, but cloudy skies and cooler temps as well. In fact, there’s a 20 per cent chance isolated storms in the Media City. The high in B-town today– somewhere in the low 80s. Definitely better than the scorching triple digits of the recent heat wave. However there are reports, the extreme heat could be back by early next week.

Two Burbank libraries designated cooling centers during heat wave

Starting today, folks in Burbank will get some relief from the heat wave. Two of the city’s libraries will have longer hours through Sunday, providing cool places to escape hot temperatures in the 90s and even triple digits. Two designated cooling centers were announced yesterday in a news released: “Residents are encouraged to seek relief from the heat by visiting either the Buena Vista Library at 300 N. Heat is on in the Media City

  You know it’s going to be a sizzler when the temperature reaches 85 before 11 a.m. Well, that’s the case in Burbank today. A heat wave is building and it’s effecting much of the Southwest and including the Southland.  No relief is expected until sometime next week. The national weather service has issue an excessive heat warning for the San Fernando Valley. Temperatures heating up in Burbank and the rest of the Southland

  It looks like the Southland is heading into the first heat wave of the summer.  Some parts of the valley could get up into the triple digits over the next few days. Burbank is already sizzling. Today at 12:30 p.m. the high was 87 in the Media City and felt even warmer. B-town can expect highs in at least the 90s tomorrow through Monday. There will be plenty of sunshine go along with the hot temperatures. Yeah, summer is here.

Severe weather whips up deadly twisters in Oklahoma again

  More severe weather in parts of the U.S. today. Yesterday, Oklahoma got slammed by deadly tornadoes again.  Five twisters rolled through the state, killing at least 9 people in the state and injuring more than 70 others. Back on May 20, a massive tornado, the most powerful EF5, ripped through Moore, Oklahoma — killing two dozen and causing incredible damage. Details on CNN.

  UPDATED 9:43 a.m.: Wednesday, May 22, 2013 A band of thunderstorms is moving through the southern states of Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi headed east today. The thunderstorms produced damaging winds and hail in parts of Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi yesterday. The day before, Monday, the powerful weather system sent a deadly tornado plowing through Moore, Oklahoma, leaving a 17 mile trail of destruction.  Updated 12:30 p.m.: That light rain turned into some pretty heavy downpours in Burbank this morning. In fact, this Southland storm is packing a bigger punch than expected with cloudy skies, wind, and rain expected to continue throughout the day and tonight, possible tomorrow as well. A hot one in the Media City today

  Oh, wow, temperatures are going to sizzle under sunny skies in the Media City today. The weather watchers have been predicting it for days — now the heat has arrived. At 10:30 a.m. it hit 79 degrees. Today’s high in Burbank is expected to top 90. The lows tonight in the 60s.  The same is on tap for tomorrow. Yet, by next Monday, we could be scrambling to for umbrellas because of rain showers. That’s spring in the Southland.

Sunny Sunday in B-town, but change is coming

A lot of sunshine today with temperatures expected in the mid-80s here in B-town. Enjoy it cause change is blowing into the Media City starting tomorrow. More patchy clouds and some thick fog are forecast for Monday and through the week, with even some possible rain showers. The temps will drop as well — back down into the mid-to-lower 70s and perhaps 60s. So go kick a groove on this Sunday, while the temps are warm and the sun is shining.
